Flourish, A Celebration of Flowers
Nobody sees a flower really; it is so small. We haven’t time, and to see takes time - like to have a friend takes time. Georgia O’Keeffe
I found I could say things with color and shapes that I couldn’t say any other way - things I had no words for. Georgia O’Keeffe
There are always flowers for those who want to see them. Henri Matisse

flowers
because I like detail
because I like big
because I like small
because I like color
because I like variety.
Because flowers can simultaneously be unique and similar.
Because one of my fondest memories as a child was seeing the sky filled with hundreds of kites creating a colorful mosaic.
With these collections, the Flourish exhibit is an opportunity of sharing all of these aspects. He feels that seeing so many colors simultaneously has had a subliminal effect on how he visualizes and composes his work to this day.
